This is the biggest World Cup ever staged: 48 teams playing 104 matches across the United States, Canada and Mexico, in 16 host cities. The tournament opened at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on 11 June and ends with the final at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, on 19 July 2026. Teams progress from 12 groups of four into a new round of 32, followed by the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.
